Basic Weapon notes for my weapons in my storiesHockman-Behrend (“HB” or the majority of “C” weapons)
Hockman-Behrend weapons use a rotating charging handle. For railguns it merely charges the weapon once. When a magazine is charged the computer holds an equivalent “round” to enable firing once a magazine is expended (all weapons have that extra “round” available even though not mentioned). The charge itself lasts five minutes in the chamber so once that time is expended, the weapon needs to be charged again. HB conventional weapons operate in the same manner, as once the magazine is emptied, the bolt locks. A simple button releases the bolt and cocks the weapon once a new magazine is inserted. All weapons automatically eject the magazine once expended and charging handle rotation is towards the barrel regardless of type of weapon.
Chamber design is based mainly on a "conventional" system (round is fed into the cham
