Hockman-Behrend (“HB” or the majority of “C” weapons)
Hockman-Behrend weapons use a rotating charging handle.  For railguns it merely charges the weapon once.  When a magazine is charged the computer holds an equivalent “round” to enable firing once a magazine is expended (all weapons have that extra “round” available even though not mentioned).  The charge itself lasts five minutes in the chamber so once that time is expended, the weapon needs to be charged again.  HB conventional weapons operate in the same manner, as once the magazine is emptied, the bolt locks.  A simple button releases the bolt and cocks the weapon once a new magazine is inserted.  All weapons automatically eject the magazine once expended and charging handle rotation is towards the barrel regardless of type of weapon.
Chamber design is based mainly on a "conventional" system (round is fed into the chamber via magazine horizontally then fired) or in the case of the C25, a P90-esque system that allows more compact and lighter weapons.  More traditional types exist of course, especially for conventional caseless pistols.  For railguns the round is fed into the chamber and shot through the barrel with integral Jeranium rails on either side of the barrel.  The length of the Jeranium rails is from the start of the firing chamber to the end of the Picatinny rail or handguard of the weapon.  All weapons are air-cooled only, as a more complex cooling system would only make it more cumbersome and heavier.  Common sense and experience prevents excessive barrel wear.  All barrels are quick change, allowing newer barrels to be replaced after (approximately) 1000 rounds.

Generic
Even though railguns supposedly don't jam, errors can always occur with any railgun weapon, the magazine spring is old, etc.  To remedy this all weapons have an openable port (either on top or rear of the weapon, depending on configuration) that allows access to the chamber and the weapon can be cleared, even in a combat situation (of course reality is different) and is actually a requirement for military service.  Civilian weapons have this depending on the manufacturer.  It is assumed that the civilians have more time on their hands and not risk a soldier's life.
Just some things that explain in a little more detail how my weapons operate, it will be updated as time goes along.
