Description

The M6 had always been a satisfactory weapon when used by A 2/4. However, times and needs changed and the need to produce more weapons to replace weapons from wear and tear (with very little loss on the battlefield. During the years the Heckler and Koch engineers reworked the weapon and produced the M6A3 or HK1012. Changes from the original M6 is an adjustable collapsing stock (with four positions) that enabled shorter firers to have a better grip on the weapon. The side rails were lengthened as well as the weapon toughened and also lightened (with accumulated changes a full .5 kilogram was removed, with the weapon by itself fully loaded now weighs 3.5 kilograms). It is also slightly smaller due to newer materials (the original design elements referred to by one engineer as "slab of plastics and metal") Also the weapon is chambered in the 6.2mmESU (6.2x30mm) sharing ammunition with the ESU C20 rifle and it also enabled the weapon to still have a reloadable 60 round magazine capacity. This is achieved by using a setup that the Heckler and Koch LMG11 pioneered in the late twentieth century. First introduced in September 2741 the weapon comes shipped (only to the Kommando) with a standard sight (upper left) that has a variable zoom from 1x to 4x. Additionally a reflex sight is included (upper right) as well as iron sights (mounted on the weapon) as well as an HK520 30mm removable grenade launcher (bottom right). Completing the kit is a SureFire tactical flashlight.  On the bottom left is a typical magazine.  Off to the far left is a Simunitions magazine that allows the weapon to be used in training missions. The velocity of the rounds is reduced in order to allow realistic training without injuring people when using proper protective equipment.  And like the original design the battery is located within the magazine and power is regulated through a micro-processor within the weapon and the magazine is translucent so the trooper can look at the magazine and see the available rounds (though only if the stock is extended).  With the smaller round battery life had been extended, though it still is computer controlled (nanotechnology) to manage current power in order to fire the weapon, and some extra juice, though engineers are planning on designing either a larger capacity magazine or reduce the power to manage 60 shots. Each kit comes with two spare magazines (for a total of three as one is in the weapon already) and a charging station for the batteries.

not bad I do wonder exactly what is the firing system could allow it that kind of caliber to be so numerous
